Ralph L. Webb is Professor Emeritus of Mechanical Engineering at Penn State University. He is author of the book, Principles of Enhanced Heat Transfer2nd edition (Taylor & Francis, 2005), and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Enhanced Heat Transfer.

Dr. Webb is a recipient of the AIChE Donald Q. Kern award, the U.K. Refrigeration Institute Hall-Thermotank Gold Medal, and ASME Heat Transfer Memorial Award. He is also a Fellow of ASME and ASHRAE. His website is http://mne.psu.edu/webb/

He has published more than 275 papers in international technical journals. He has performed research in various aspects of enhanced heat transfer and heat-exchanger design and has taught academic courses in “two-phase heat transfer,” "heat exchanger design," "enhanced heat transfer," and "applied heat and mass transfer" at Penn State University.
